Who We Are

Your Hosts

Hey There! I'm Meg and I've been blissfully hosting guests in our homes for over 14 years! My family and I live in the most beautiful (and not so secret) town of Bend, Oregon. It is truly an outdoor lover's paradise and a safe place to raise our family. Between the warm community of people, the stunning nature at our backdoor, and the impressive number of events around town, it's no surprise that Bend has become a prime vacation destination.

 

Sojourn Homes was founded on the premise of kindness and compassion: to treat others how we want to be treated, and to HOST others how we would want to be hosted! We refuse to compromise on quality as you'll see in our guest reviews. We've been fortunate enough to host the most wonderful people from all different backgrounds and share our small slice of paradise with them. Are you properties pet-friendly?
Our city loves dogs! And most of our properties are dog-friendly. Please check the listing details to confirm. Dog-friendly properties allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs per reservation with a pet fee. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s), any dog-related damage, and agree to not leave their dog(s) incessantly barking. No cats allowed. *Service animals welcome, no fee applies
What is your cancellation policy?
For stays under 30 days: You may receive a 100% refund if you cancel your stay 14 or more days prior to your check in date. If you cancel 7-13 days prior to your check in date, you will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations less than 7 days before check in receives no refund. No refunds outside of our cancellation policy will be honored, even for adverse weather or fire-season related reasons. We highly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to protect your investment.
I'm bringing an infant. Do you offer any baby gear for my stay?
Yes! As parents ourselves, we know how much STUFF is needed when traveling with a baby. For that reason, we offer the following to be set up in the home for you, free of charge: Pack n' play with flat sheet, highchair, baby monitor, sound machine/night light. Please note that these must be requested in advance and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Are events allowed in your homes?
Typically, no. Most of our homes are in close-knit neighborhoods where loud music and noise is not welcomed. There may be exceptions (with advanced approval) if you are hosting a dinner or small gathering with guests outside of your reservation count. Just please communicate with us so we know what to expect that is outside of the norm! All Guests staying in Bend are required by the city to follow Good Neighbor Guidelines: 1. 24-Hour Contact Information. If at any time you have concerns about your stay or in regards to your neighbors, please call the 24-hour contact number listed in the rental lease agreement or posted in the unit. In the event of an emergency, please call 911. 2. General Respect for Neighbors. Be friendly, courteous, and treat your neighbors like you want to be treated. Respect your neighbors and their property. 3. Noise. Be considerate of the neighborhood and your neighbor’s right to the quiet enjoyment of their home and property, especially after 10 p.m. 4. Maintenance of Property. Be sure to pick up after yourself and keep the property clean, presentable and free of trash. 5. Garbage Disposal. Place trash and recycling containers at the appropriate place and time for pickup. Return trash and recycling containers to the designated location within 12 hours after pickup. Cigarette butts should be properly extinguished and disposed of in the garbage. 6. Parking & Traffic Safety. Refer to the parking diagram posted in the unit and park on-site whenever possible. Do not park on lawns or in a manner which blocks driveways, sidewalks, alleys or mailboxes. Drive slowly through neighborhoods and watch for pedestrians and children playing. 7. Pets. Promptly clean-up after your pets. Prevent excessive and prolonged barking, and keep pets from roaming the neighborhood. Control aggressive pets, and be sure to abide by the local leash laws. Store pet food indoors and in a secure container to reduce the likelihood of unwanted pest problems. 8. Tenant/Guest Responsibility. Approved guests and visitors are expected to follow the Good Neighbor Guidelines. Be sure to read your rental agreement for additional terms and restrictions which may include consequences for violating the Good Neighbor Guidelines.
